The Birmingham Masonic Friendship Club (formerly the Widows Friendship Club) is being re-launched, and now incorporates not only lodge widows but brethren and their wives, single masons and the wider masonic family of brothers, sisters and children, the Masonic ideal of support and friendship for like-minded people being an important part of the organisation.
Meeting every month, the Club is based at The Clarendon Suites, Edgbaston, Birmingham B16 9SB and intends to return to its former glory when annual holidays and day trips were the norm. The ultimate goal is the creation of a vibrant new committee and active support for events from a larger membership.
To this end the Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held at The Clarendon Suites at 11am on Tuesday 19th March 2013 when it is hoped a full committee can be elected and a new larger membership will join. A lunch, which is subsidised by the Club, will be held after the AGM for interested parties to socialise.
For those wishing to attend and stay for lunch, details can be seen here. Bookings need to be made with the Club Secretary,
