Spring into Concert Harmony

Spectacular, Magnificent, Stunning. All without doubt descriptive of the forthcoming Spring Harmony Concert being held at Bedworth Civic Hall on Sunday 25th March 2012, which will feature music and songs which everyone knows and loves.

The amazing lineup includes the Heart of England Co-operative Orchestra, the Warwickshire County Choristers, Bass Baritone Arwel Huw Morgan, Mezzo Soprano Yvonne Howard and Pianist Ingrid Surgenor, all hosted by the inimitable Ed Doolan MBE. Just Google any of them and you will quickly realise what a fantastic extravaganza this is going to be!

And the venue certainly isn't just any venue, it's incredible accoustics having made it a favourite recording location for the CBSO, which once included the iconic Luciano Pavarotti.

Everyone is welcome, and tickets are still available, (£15, £17.50, £20) which can be purchased from the Bedworth Civic Hall Box Office or 'phone 024 7637 6707. All proceeds will go to the Warwickshire 2012 Festival in support of the Masonic Samaritan Fund.

Don't be square, be there!

Strawberry Tea

The residents of Reading Court held their annual Strawberry Tea on 17th July which was a beautiful summer's day.

This event is the culmination of the fundraising that they do for the local Air Ambulance. It was hosted by Henry Lee who is the Chairman of the residents' social committee. The photograph shows Henry with his wife Gladys and Pam Jowers, the Scheme Manager at Reading Court, with the cheque for the magnificent sum of £1004.42.

Streets Paved with Gold

The Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VW Bro Alan Wellan presided at a Festival of Fellowship at the Coventry Masonic Hall held to raise funds towards holding the 2012 Coventry Masonic Special Children’s Pantomime.

Members from all Coventry Lodges took part in the Festival, in which VW Bro Victor Keene (AKA Dick Whittington) was initiated in a unique ceremony, to support this Coventry Freemasons Community Project. It was followed by a Festive Board at which £600 was raised.

This is the second year that the Coventry Pantomime has taken place and it is being established in the Calendar as a regular event.
