Aston Manor helps Primrose Hospice
The Aston Manor Lodge 6323 held a charity evening to support Bromsgrove's "Primrose Hospice" with further raffles and donations totalling £1250.
Master of the Lodge, W Bro Julian A Davis, saw the Primrose Hospice's exemplary care to terminally ill patients when his father was swiftly struck down with Cancer in 2008. He died in May within a month of the diagnosis and it was the Hospice that aided 'Care at Home', allowing Mr David Davis to pass on in his own home with loved ones. A priceless service, with the majority of the income to support the work of the Hospice being from donations.

When Julian handed over the donation, Alvin Robertson, Chief Executive of Primrose Hospice said "We are very grateful for this donation, as the Hospice requires over £10,000 per week to operate. This is collected from many sources with fundraising charity events being the most important to us".
The donation is a good example of the tremendous amount of support freemasons give to their local communities, in addition to their regional, national and international charitable activities. The Hospice has been the recipient of over £40,000 from Masonic Charities during the last couple of years.
