W Bro Cllr Brian Wilcox, JP, PProvJGW, PProvGSwdB(Hfds), PM130, who is Chaplain of Vellum Lodge 5845 which meets at Knowle, Solihull, enjoyed the privilege of meeting the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh during the Diamond Jubilee tour.

This was in his capacity as Right Worshipful Mayor of the City of Hereford, and after escorting the Duke around a marquee explaining various aspects of Hereford, Brian was interviewed later that afternoon on Midlands Today about the very successful visit of the Royal couple.

Brian was Worshipful Master of Vellum Lodge in 1977 following in his father's footsteps, and he still attends every regular meeting, travelling to Knowle from his home in Hereford in a round trip of over 100 miles.
