Guy's Cliffe Lodge 8874 held its 200th meeting in the 15th century chapel on the site at Warwick which would eventually give the Lodge its name.
The Lodge was honoured by the presence of the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VW Bro Alan Wellan who was escorted by Provincial ADC Bro Peter Clarke. Also present were other acting Provincial Officers W Bros John Broughton, Simon Albu and Robert Burtonshaw.
Following the completion of the formal business of the meeting, ladies were admitted into the Lodge room and W Bro Barrie Ogden Metherell delivered a very interesting presentation about the background to the acquisition of the premises at Guy's Cliffe and the formation of Guy's Cliffe Lodge, including an outline of the work essential for the consecration of the Lodge.
During the Festive Board, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master said how much he and his wife Joy had enjoyed the occasion and thanked the Master W Bro Les Tame for recognising their wedding anniversary.
Overall, 60 people enjoyed a most relaxed and happy event, and are looking forward to the next 200 meetings.
